Why Brella?

At Brella we offer competitive pay, benefits, a beautiful and engaging work environment, a strong, fun community and most importantly the opportunity for growth. As we grow, so will you. Whether that's inside or outside of the classroom, our non-traditional model works best for those that embrace change and want to learn in a dynamic environment,.

The Journey to Brella - Our Interview Process

Our hiring process consists of a resume/qualifications review, phone interview, video interview and select candidates will be invited to come onsite (in person or virtually) to meet with various members of the team. We encourage you to be your authentic self and think of specific examples from your experience that you can showcase as we tend to ask a mixture of situational and behavioral interview questions.

A Highlight on Teaching at Brella

Teaching at Brella is designed for those who love to provide learning opportunities to children in a dynamic work environment. We are designed to meet the changing needs of our community and teachers that thrive at Brella are versatile and well versed with infant, toddler and preschool aged children.

We are an inclusive and diverse team and are committed to providing a respectful and fair workplace no matter a team member’s ethnicity, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity.

We welcome teachers with a variety of experience from recently completion of ECE credits to seasoned educators. Our Resource Teacher roles are great for early in career ECE educators who enjoy and want to explore different age ranges by providing support to our classrooms and covering for call outs. Our Teacher roles are an opportunity to primarily focus on a specific age range while diving deeper into our play-based curriculum planning, flow of day, documentation and communicating effectively with the team, children and parents. Our Lead Teacher role is for those Teachers who have served in a leadership role previously at other centers in coaching and mentoring other teachers.

Full-time employees work 40 hours/week and are eligible for full benefits. Our center in Playa Vista Center is currently open from M-F from 8 AM - 5 PM and Saturday from 9 AM - 1 PM.

Our Playa Vista center is thriving and we will be opening our Hollywood in May. Stay tuned, Brella Pasadena will be coming later this year and additional locations are early stages planning for 2023.

Our locations offer care for children 3 months through 5 years old with a variety of classrooms. We also have gardens and art labs.

At Brella, our play-based curriculum is aligned around master activities and we embrace elements of Montessori, RIE and Reggio. We also utilize Nonviolent Communication.
